Before you buy anything, understand these three things.

Most buyers get sold on features that don't matter and miss the specs that do. Here's what separates a good chamber from a waste of $8,000.

Spec #1

Pressure Rating (ATA)

The single most important spec. Most affordable home chambers operate at 1.3 ATA — sufficient for general wellness. Clinical benefits for neurological recovery and wound healing typically require 1.5 ATA or higher. Any chamber marketed as “1.5 ATA” for under $4,000 is almost certainly misrepresenting its rating.

Spec #2

The Oxygen Concentrator

A chamber without an included concentrator is not a complete system. Some brands list a base price, then charge $800–$1,500 extra for the concentrator. Always confirm: Is the concentrator included? What is its LPM output? Does it match the chamber volume?

Spec #3

Warranty & After-Sales Support

Home HBOT chambers are long-term investments. A 1-year warranty on a $10,000 chamber is a red flag. Look for a minimum 3-year structural warranty. Equally important: Is there a US-based support line? Will they send a technician or just tell you to ship it back to China?

Is This For You?

Most of our readers fit one of these three profiles.

Chronic condition management. You've heard that HBOT may support Lyme disease, long COVID, autoimmune flare-ups, or neurological recovery. You want to explore it at home without paying $200 per clinic session.

Sports & recovery optimization. You train seriously and you're interested in accelerated muscle recovery, reduced inflammation, and better sleep quality. You've done the research and you're ready to invest in your setup.

General wellness & longevity. You're building out a home health protocol — red light, cold plunge, sauna — and HBOT is the next piece. You want to get it right the first time.
